Track and Bruneau Sand Dunes, etc

Ammon discovered this year that his favorite event is the 1 mile (after a candy bar bribe by his coach).  He finished this mile in 7:04.  This comes as no surprise to us of course...

Preston prefers the sprints.  Our school doesn't have money for uniforms (unless you kept your cross country uniform), so he is the boy in the plain grey shirt.  He loves it, even if he doesn't win.

We took the kids to their favorite camping spot...Bruneau Sand Dunes.  As soon as we arrived, they immediately got to work, digging and moving the sand around.  So fun and sandy.

Joel even sacrificed his Birthday to go camping (not his favorite thing).  What a great dad. Surprisingly, camping was a much needed break from all of the spring yard work he's been doing.

Preston loves camping and kept asking Joel and I to put the little kids to bed so we could play all of the games that he played on his scout camp out there the week before.  Unfortunately the younger children didn't agree.
Ammon has become a giant boy.  He has grown 3 sizes this school year and now wears a 30 x 32 pant size!  Wow.  Of course I should have known for all of the food he requires.
We stayed in two cabins  (a boy and a girl cabin).  Joel told all of the kids stories before bed.  The stories always ended with a helicopter and some missionaries saving the day.

Savannah LOVED it!

Caroline loved it too...especially not being in a crib.  She just climbed all over everyone and finally fell asleep around 11.  Oh well, camping is not about getting a good night's rest, right?

Here she was going around giving kisses to Savannah and any other takers.  So adorable.  We love our little monkey.
Mom and Dad came over today to celebrate Joel's Birthday and have his favorite meal, Swiss Steak.  It was really good (especially since we had all been fasting).  They are great parents and grandparents.  We have been really blessed to live by them.  They asked me to take this picture for their mission papers.
We will be sad to see them leave for their mission at the end of this year, but excited to hear all about it. They are great examples to us.
Thank you for raising my husband!  We love you.
