This is a blue heron that we have seen around our place a lot. I saw it the first year we moved into our house (standing on our bridge) and then I didn't see it for a few years. This year we have seen it weekly. I happed to catch it just hanging out on our fence yesterday and caught a picture of it before it flew away.

ReplyDeleteLoved the pics! My kids are excited that they know all your kid's names. hahah! Also, we were excited to see a heron in your yard! How cool is that!!! Heron is our last name, except in french. The kids dig that sort of thing. WOW! 4 kids in school! Love it!
